Have you ever thought about how special and magical books are?

Somewhere, someone comes up with an idea, an entire world, characters, and plot existing in their imagination. They write it down. A publisher decides to print it, and suddenly this idea is shared with readers all across the globe. They’re invited to join the adventure, to meet the characters. The imaginary world doesn’t only exist in the mind of the author anymore; it exist in the readers’ minds too.

We learn lessons and grow alongside our fictional friends. We’re challenged and encouraged and inspired.

Books also unite us. I have friends who I met simply because we had favorite books in common. At writing conferences I’ve been to, I love seeing readers and author alike connect over books.

Books really are their own special kind of magic.
