September Recap!

Fall is here! Is anyone else excited?

I love, love, love Fall. It just makes me happy. I love the temperatures and the colors. I love all of it!

But enough about me ranting about how I love Fall. Onto the other stuff!

Reading Recap

I read five books this month! It was almost six books, but I didn’t end up finishing my current read before October 1st.

Most of the books I read this month were rereads. I reread The Ascendance Series (formerly the Ascendance Trilogy) in anticipation of the release of The Captive Kingdom, book 4, on the October 6th! I am super, super excited for The Captive Kingdom. As you’ll find out in my reviews for the books, I adore The Ascendance Series.

That all being said, The False Prince was my favorite read this month. I adore this book. If you haven’t read it yet, you need to. And I have a review of it coming next week!

I also added several books to my bookshelf and commissioned my dad to build me a new bookshelf! As all bookworms know, there is no such thing as too many books, but too little space is a real problem.

Also, an exciting, slightly reading-related thing that happened this month was that I got chosen as a Fall rep for the CreateExploreRead Etsy shop! If you need some fun bookmarks, mugs, or other cool stuff, visit my Instagram page to find my rep code for 10% off!

Writing Recap

I actually didn’t keep track of my word count this month. But I did get writing done! After struggling with a motivation and discouragement slump at the beginning of the month, I continued pushing forward through Rowan’s Story and have now finished Act One and am moving onward through Act Two! It currently is at just over 26,000 words.

Also, I started my email newsletter finally! If you want to sign up to here more from me, click the newsletter tab at the top!

I totally stunk at blogging during September, and I’m really sorry about that. But it won’t happen this month!

Also, some exciting things are going to happen here this month! I get to be a part of two blog tours this October, one of which is for a fellow Young Writer Author student who is self-publishing a poetry book! So keep an eye out for that post!

How was your September? What are you excited about for October?
