Christmas is in the air! If you’re looking for some books to enjoy during some cozy fireside reading, here are some recommendations:
*Splinters of Scarlet by Emily Bain Murphy — this YA historical fantasy is perfect for this time of year. A part of the story even takes place over Christmas.
*Ignite by Kara Swanson — set in a winter wasteland, Ignite might have you reaching for another mug of hot chocolate and a blanket while you read this phoenix tale.
*The Enchanted Sonata by Heather Dixon Wallwork — I can’t think of a better time of year to read this charming retelling of The Nutcracker.
*Cold-Blooded Myrtle by Elizabeth C. Bunce — okay, this one maybe isn’t really a wintery read. But it takes place at Christmas time, and I adore this series, so I had to include it. 😄
*Sweep: The Story of a Girl and her Monster by Jonathan Auxier — I somehow don’t have a review for this one, but this middlegrade book is one of my favorites. And part of it happens at Christmas!
*Keeping Holiday by Starr Meade — I also don’t have a review for this one, but think of it as a Pilgrim’s Progress-type fantasy allegory about Christmas. Here’s an interview The Gospel Collation did with the author that you might find interesting.
Do you have any favorite Christmas or wintery reads?
