You Don’t Have to Do Social Media

To my fellow writers on social media,

You don’t have to do it all.

Social media can be overwhelming. There’s so much you can do, and there’s always the pressure to do more. Plus, social media can be a time-sucking black hole.

But you don’t have to do everything on social media. You don’t have to post every day. You don’t have to create reels. You don’t have to constantly be figuring out the algorithm and trends.

If social media is more of a burden than an enjoyment, try stepping away from it for a time. Sometimes you just need a break to refresh. Or maybe social media isn’t for you. Writer friends, there are other ways to build a platform (like a blog!).

Don’t feel pressured to have to do it all.
