. . . Aaannndd, edits are done!

Well, for the moment, at least.

I’ve turned in the first full round of edits to my publisher, which means that I’m one step closer to getting to share this story with all of you!

I’ll be honest, there are times when the thought of other people reading this book terrifies me. What if they don’t like it? What if my friends think I’m really weird after they finish it? What if, what if, what if . . .

I’d mentally drown in what-ifs if I let them run wild. So when they creep in, I stop, take a breath, and remind myself that I am not my book. My identity is not in my book. My worth is not in my book. My identity is in Christ. I remind myself of Truth.

People won’t like my book. That’s kind of inevitable. I hope my friends like it, but it will be okay if they find it (or me) a little weird because of it.

What’s matters is that I need to be faithful with the writing gifts that God has given me, and be faithful where He has placed me. And right now, that’s getting this book published! So I strive to write and edit with excellence, regardless what what happens, whether people will like it, etc.

And all that being said, I do hope that you’ll like this story once you get to read it.
