I want to be one of those social media accounts that always has encouraging or challenging posts. One of the accounts that people really like. One of the accounts with fantastic reels. One of the accounts with stunning photos.
But I’m not. And that’s okay.
I mainly just do short, little posts about books. My photos are pretty simple, and I still struggle with white balance. I don’t like being in front of the camera for reels. And like I said, that’s okay.
Social media isn’t where I want to invest the bulk of my time. Yes, I love the community that’s here, but I don’t want to live in my phone. I don’t want to spend hours perfecting my aesthetic, making reels, or coming up with captions. So I’m thankful for those who stick around for my short, often silly posts.
Remember that you don’t have to do everything on social media. Do what you enjoy, and what you can healthily manage. Don’t let social media turn into a comparison trap or a black hole. 💕
